Convert your dinette table into a bed in seconds without straining your back. Convert the bed back to a table just as easily. This pedestal table lift can be used independently for light use to provide extra leg room and easiest use, or can accommodate the use of the existing taper lock legs that come standard with your table for heavier usage of your table or bed. The SmithLift ensures the up and down positions remain the same as they have always been.

The SmithLift will lock down in lowest position (15.25″) when removed from the base.
The original SmithLift accommodates:
-Down height from the floor to the underside of the table from 15.25″ up to 16.5″.
-Up height from the floor to the bottom of the table of 27″ up to 30.25″.
-Table weight between 35-44lb table (42″ x 46″ x 7/8″).
-Table thickness of 3/4″ thick minimum.
Any heights, weight, or table thickness outside of these ranges will require a custom SmithLift. You can contact us at support@smithlift.com and provide us with your down height, up height, table weight, and thickness.

I just instaleled the Smithlift in my Ice Castle Lake of the Woods. It was very easy to install, about 20 minutes. The system is very sturdy on its own without using the standard poles. Putting in the standard poles is now a breeze with the lift. No more lifting out the table to install the poles and then putting back in, all while trying not to accidently knock something into a fish hole :). I honestly have left mine as bed for the last two seasons because it was such a hassle to switch back and forth from table to bed. Another great feature of the Smithlift is the ability to remove the table to gain access to under table fishing holes or access the breaker panel and battery compartment, as the lift assembly is designed to pull apart and reassemble easily. Can’t wait to get on the ice!

I am so glad this product was engineered. I love playing cards and having a place to sit and eat at a table when out fishing for the weekend. It was always such a hassle to change back and forth from bed to dining table, till now. Now I don’t even hesistate to convert from one to the other, it only takes seconds to change.
I know anyone who likes the option to have table or bed quickly and easily, will be very satisfied with the Smithlift. It is so easy to convert all by myself, and I don’t have to get on my back under the table to do it. I also don’t have to worry about whether or not the fold down legs from my table (I have an older model ice castle) are going to hold up or break in the middle of the night when in bed position.
I is optional to put the 3 legs in for additional rigidity, but I prefer to leave them out. The table is plenty sturdy for me, and it leaves additional leg space to get in and out of the bench seat.
I highly recommend the Smithlift to make the ice castle a more functional year round camping/ice fishing get away.

Bought for a SunRay Trailer As the first Arizona owners of the Smith Lift, I offered to give my review. On a scale of 1-10 I would mark a solid 9.5 Only because improvement and perfection are endless. I really like this set up! Very well designed and constructed and in the USA. The only minor change I would make, is to the square base structure, by adding a radius corner to soften the feel to “Jimmy Buffet’s – bare feet.” Installing is relatively up front and do-able for those with patients and a little tools smarts. Just watch the YouTube vids a few times and go at your pace. CAUTION: Sometimes the factory table legs and base are not perfectly square and plumb with the table cradle ledges – between the two seating positions. Hence, be sure you check the lowest position of the table in the cradle and then mark the base holes to be drilled and at the same time check the height to be sure of wall clearance. This will eliminate any discrepancy between the high table position and the low table position, due to an error on the trailer or ice-house builders side of construction. I foreseen this and abandoned the marking of the Smith Lift base plate in conjunction with the factor legs. Get it? Yep, Don’t rely on the factor legs position, but verify the Smith Lift in both up and down positions by themselves. Best Wishes!

We have the newer version (2021) lift. We love it. It is pretty easy to install and effortless to use. It doesn’t seem as sturdy as I was expecting but it holds up well.

Installed, magnet wouldn’t hold it down in bed position. Emailed issue and gave one star review. Jared called me promptly on a Saturday evening while he was at ICOG, he diagnosed the problem over video chat and told me he’d never seen this issue with the magnet. He is sending me a new lift and paying shipping to return the old one. That is what I call customer service!!! My daughter recently purchased a Jayco Baja travel trailer. She was having issues raising and lowering the dinette table using the folding legs. The table was very unstable in any position. We were looking for a solution to this issue. My wife was visiting Minnesota and a friend had an Ice Castle trailer parked in from of his house, so she asked him for a tour. The trailer had a SmithLift installed, he said he loved it. My wife sent me photos of it with the contact info. We contacted Jared of SmithLift. We explained our application, he was able to modify an existing model for our application. He shipped it very quickly. When it arrived he gave me a few detailed instructions for the installation. The unit was installed without issue. The SmithLift functions perfectly and has completely solved all the issues associated with dinette table operation. The SmithLift is a game changer.
